Awareness events grant us the greatest reason to celebrate. We join together with linked hopes and we spread the word with confidence that positive changes will occur.
To some the phrase, “awareness event” is still a new concept looking for nourishment, and it most certainly is. The greater the number of dedicated individuals to a cause, the greater the positive impact.
You may be familiar with some awareness national events already. Each of the 12 months is dedicated to various awareness causes. For instance, May is National Skin Cancer awareness month. It’s been perfectly placed just in time for the summer season. That way people can be advised of the dangers of sun exposure and the importance of using sun block.
Parallel in importance to awareness events are our incredibly proactive national prevention events. Not only do these events raise awareness of a given issue but they then work to find the best solutions and apply them. At every awareness and prevention event, promotional items help to unite attendees with hope and ignite them to make change. You see young women in Breast Cancer promotional tee-shirts imprinted with, “Race for a cure.” And on the wrists of millions still are the famed custom awareness bracelets first popularized by Lance Armstrong’s, Live Strong” awareness campaign.
I found an awesome video that captures the success of a prevention event. America’s Promise Alliance works to prepare every child for college and a successful career after high school. To see the awareness highlights of this event watch the America’s Promise Alliance Dropout Prevention video.
You’ll see awareness products in the first ten seconds, proving the importance of branding your cause.
